Indians, Lady Indians Top Frazer, Drop Conference Games In Glasgow
The Indians and Lady Indians took care of business, pocketing wins over the Bearcubs in Frazer Friday, Jan. 3.
The pair of non-conference wins over Class C Frazer came one day after a pair of District 2B losses in Glasgow Thursday, Jan. 2.
The Indians controlled three quarters of the boys’ game with Frazer leading 1412 at the first quarter stop.
The Lady Indians bested the Lady Bearcubs 52-44.
“In the Frazer game, the bench came in and pulled out a 10-point lead with defensive pressure,” Lady Indians’ head coach Les Bighorn said.
“Keandra [Martell] had a double-double [10/10] and Macey [Stump] contributed 16/7,” he said.
“[Against] Glasgow, we had two good quarters and were down one point going into the fourth quarter, but we had a little cold spell. [Glasgow] pulled out a 10-point win. Chloe [Belton] and Sasha [Youngman] had a good offensive outing and Macey [Stump] kept them out of the paint with six blocks,” Bighorn said.
