County Cupboard Tagged For Matching Donation
Culbertson’s County Cupboard food bank has been approved to participate in a matching program up to $5,600 from the Morton H. Meyerson Family Foundation. Ashlee Anderson told the Community News that a foundation member visited the cupboard recently and committed funds to the project.
Anderson also said that Bainville and Culbertson schools donated proceeds from their annual Cat/Griz food drive efforts.
Along with financial contributions, supporters are asked to consider donating items currently in short supply.
“We would love to have toiletries if people are looking to donate,” Anderson said. “They can be brought to the diner.”
The full list of needful items includes shampoo, hand soap, body wash, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, deodorant and toothpaste. Pantry items being sought include Hamburger Helper, tuna, canned chicken, macaroni and cheese, noodles, pasta sauce, applesauce, cold cereal, peanut butter, jelly, Spaghetti Os, canned green beans and corn.
The next distribution date is Nov. 22, followed by Dec. 6 and 20. They are located at the County Complex.
