High-Fidelity Mannequin Helps With Emergency Training

Local emergency officials welcomed Simulation in Motion Montana for training at Northeast Montana Health Services in Wolf Point on Thursday, July 13.

The training event was sponsored by the Health Care Coalition and featured a high-fidelity mannequin.

Roberta “Robbie” Kavon, Eastern Coalition Readiness and Response coordinator for the Montana Hospital Association, was pleased that Wolf Point’s emergency personnel received training through various scenarios.

“It’s important for the region,” Kavon said.

The Wolf Point stop was the ninth training in the eastern region by Simulation in Motion Montana. The region includes Phillips County, Jordan and areas east in the state.

Officials from Simulation in Motion Montana explained, that by enhancing the capabilities of local administrators, nurses, doctors, EMTs and paramedics in infectious disease management, SIMMT is ensuring that the town and county have a skilled and prepared healthcare workforce.

This training contributes to the overall safety and well-being of the community and enhance the healthcare services available to the residents.

Lee Roberts, a representative of SIM-MT, said in a press release, “By providing specialized training on infectious diseases, we aim to equip local healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to respond effectively to outbreaks and ensure the safety of our community.”
