90th Birthday

Lela Handran and daughter Pam Hurr flew to Sun City, Ariz., on July 13 to celebrate Lela’s 90th birthday with her twin brother, Leland Leonard and his wife, Janice. Lela also stayed with her sister, Cecile Posey, for a few days, and Cecile’s children Missy of Peoria and Mark of Sun City came over to visit with Lela and Pam while they were there. Lela was also able to visit an old friend, Nellie Wilson, in Sun City. They had met in 1954 in Sterling, Colo., while working together. Lela’s granddaughter, Wendy Perez, husband, Izzy, and son, Kalem of Litchfield Park, Ariz., came to Leland’s one day to visit. Lela’s nephew Doug Moen and his wife Barb, from Chandler, Ariz., also came over. They had a party on Monday, July 17, Leland’s daughter, Kathy Jensen and son, Andrew, flew from Littleton, Colo., for the party. Leland’s son, Rick and his wife Paula also came for the party.
