From The Extension Desk
Randee Shannon, an International Program for Young Adults representative, will be in Roosevelt County to share her experiences while in Finland and Germany through presentations. She will be visiting some of the schools and senior centers throughout the county March 11-12.
Shannon was an active 10year Prairie County 4-H member where she participated in 4-H camp as a camper and a camp counselor, State 4-H Congress and several county level events and activities.
Last year, Shannon spent about six months between the countries of Finland and Germany. She will share photos, stories and experiences while living with six different host families. This will be a great opportunity for community members to learn about another culture without traveling.
Come see Shannon’s presentation at the Froid Senior Center on Wednesday, March 11, and at the Wolf Point Senior Center on Thursday, March 12. Both presentations will start at noon and will coincide with the congregate meal being served. There will also be a presentation on Wednesday, March 11, for the community and the Red Hat Ladies at 4 p.m. at the RC Complex meeting room, 307 Broadway, in Culbertson.
