Summers Places 10th In Huge Cross County Meet In Missoula
Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers earned 10th place in the individual standings at the huge Mountain West cross-country meet held in Missoula on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The senior placed 10th with a time of 15:59.1.
Bozeman’s Nathan Neil, who has committed to the University of Washington, finished first with a time of 15:09.8.
Wolf Point took 50th in the boys’ team standings with 1,395 points. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, earned first with 45 points.
There were 62 boys’ teams and more than 400 runners at the meet.
Wolf Point’s Rebel Mays finished in 269th place at 19:13.4.
Reilly Rees took 405th place with a time of 22:08.7.
Trent Hamilton took 431st at 23:54.2. Ezekiel Gourneau was 433rd at 24:18.4. Kevin Brock was 440th at 26:17.9.
In the girls’ division, Wolf Point’s Lakealah Mays placed 337th with a time of 27:01.3.
Logan Hofstee of East Valley in Spokane, Wash., was the individual winner with a time of 17:44.8.
Gallatin County won the team title with 123 points.
The Wolves will compete at the Fort Peck Invitational hosted by the Glasgow Scotties on Saturday, Sept. 30.
