Wolf Point Team Wins Mixed Couple Walleye Honor
The Wolf Point team of Carly and Whit Rush captured top honors for mixed couple for this year’s Fort Peck Walleye Tournament Series.
The Rush team finished with 177.94761 points. Nashua’s Andy and Sam Rose placed second with 168.44300 points. Circle’s Colby Loudon and Cierra Loudon earned third place with 160.79703 points.
Cody Martinez of Winnett won the Angler of the Year honor with 199.00498 points. Belgrade’s Zeik Gordon was second with 198.50746 points. Tying for third with 198.07692 points were Jordan’s Brem Phipps and Clyde Phipps.
The Phipps’ combined for the top team award with 198.076.92 points. Placing second were Belgrade’s Zeik Gordon and Laurel’s Owen Wilcox with 194.89300 points. Taking third were Glasgow’s Mike Chappell and Miles City’s Nate Chappell with 184.52317 points.
The Sidney team of Jesse Reuter and Jaxsen Reuter topped the adult/child division with 133.25865 points. Mike Dombrovski and Tristan Dombrovski of Billings took second place with 128.70598 points. The Helena team of Kodi Novak and Kurt Novak placed third with 126.11940 points.
Winning the big walleye award were Scott Swanson of Glasgow and Stuart Law of Glasgow at 14.03 pounds.
Belgrade’s Zeik Gordon earned the Top Gun Award with 294.89300 points.
