Poplar Runners Earn Second Place At Frazer Invitational


Poplar’s girls and Poplar’s boys each took second place in team races during the Frazer Invitational held on Thursday, Sept. 21.
Poplar’s girls tied with Scobey for second place with 22 points at the meet. Glasgow took top honors with 10 points.
The Indians had two runners finish in the top 10 at the competition. Sophomore Kacie Colgan placed ninth with a time of 23:11.85. Sophomore Blake Follette took 10th place at 23:30.99.
Poplar’s Mattie Falls Down finished in 13th place at 24:48.34.
Cammie Martell earned 20th place at 26:08.89.
Alara Parshall completed the difficult course in 26:40.81 for 23rd place.
Amelia Weeks took 30th place at 28:16.97.
In the boys’ division, the Indians placed second with 27 points. Harlem topped the standings with 15 points. Plenty-Coup was third with 29 points.
Three Poplar runners placed in the top 10 to lead the Indians. Sophomore Miles Boxer finished eighth with a time of 19:08.03. Sophomore Eljin Grey Bear took ninth at 19:18.61. Senior Geordy Medicine Cloud finished 10th at 19:19.59.
Poplar’s Wilder Bearcub placed 11th with a time of 19:36.23.
Bostyn Azure, a freshman, took 17th place at 20:05.46.
Navarjo Escarcega placed 21st at 20:20.06. Dane Moran took 27th at 21:18.58.
Delray Lilley finished 38th at 22:52.56. Colton Dupree placed 46th at 23:08.23. Mick- ey Failing was 61st at 27:29.44.
