Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 91 calls of service from Sept. 25 through Oct. 1. The calls included: September 25
Deputies responded to a report in Culbertson of a female yelling and running around her vehicle. Deputies told her not to disturb her neighbors.
Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a farmhouse near Brockton. Deputies observed broken windows where the suspect gained access to the residence. A report was taken of the missing items. An active investigation is ongoing.
Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribal Security in Fort Kipp. A suspect attempted to break into a vehicle and allegedly made threats. Deputies took a report from the home owner and forwarded the information to tribal court.
September 26
Deputies received a report of a missing person from a Wolf Point resident. The person was located and was physically fine. He is currently in custody in North Dakota.
Deputies assisted with control during a fire call at mile marker 600 on Highway 2.
A report was made of an intoxicated person in the Fort Kipp area. The individual couldn’t be found during patrol.
September 27
There was a report of a male assaulting a female at Albertson’s. Deputies assisted the city police and Montana Highway Patrol. The male couldn’t be located.
September 28
Deputies responded to a report of a woman screaming on the 500 block of Eureka Street in Wolf Point. Tribal officers located the female and told her to keep the noise down.
September 29
Deputies responded to tribal housing to assist tribal police with a possible fight in progress. A male reported he was assaulted in his residence, but he didn’t know by which individual. Tribal police arrested the male for intoxication.
Deputies responded to a tractor and vehicle accident on Montana Highway 25. The Montana Highway Patrol headed the investigation. Also responding were the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department, EMS, city police and tribal police.
Deputies responded to a vehicle and school bus accident in Brockton. The vehicle was driven into the back of the school bus at a bus stop. No injuries were reported.
Deputies assisted three tribal officers with a report of a man allegedly with a gun and two females. The male driver was later stopped and arrested on a tribal warrant.
September 30
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash near Brockton. Also responding were tribal police, the Culbertson Fire Department and Culbertson ambulance. There were six occupants in the vehicle. The driver was flown to a hospital for treatment.
Deputies responded to a domestic issue pertaining to a male and female arguing in Poplar.
Deputies were called to TJ’s Quick Stop in Poplar to remove to adult males who had restraining orders from the property.
A report was received from Richland County regarding an intoxicated female driver heading to Roosevelt County. The vehicle wasn’t located.
