The Wolf Point Wolves clinched the District 2B regular season volleyball title with a solid straight set victory over Harlem at home on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Wolf Point scored a 25-22, 25-17, 25-21 win over the conference foe. A kill by Gabrielle Fourbear and the serving of Keeley Blount-Henderson led the Wolves to a 16-12 lead in the opening set, but the serving of Emma Billmayer pulled the Wildcats to 16-15.

The hard hitting of Wolf Point’s Sierra Hamilton helped produce a 20-17 advantage. After Harlem tied the score at 21-21, Wolf Point gained a 23-22 lead on tips by Hamilton and Blount-Henderson.

Wolf Point accounted for the last two points of the set on an ace by Blount-Henderson and a kill by Fourbear.

In the second set, the Wolves jumped out to a 10-4 lead on blocks by Blount-Henderson, a kill by Kaleah Miller-Toves and a kill by Hamilton.

An ace by Billmayer cut the gap to 14-13, but the Wolves responded with a block by Blount-Henderson, a kill by Fourbear and a back-row kill by Hamilton.

Ahead by a 20-15 margin, the Wolves took further control on kills by Fourbear and Hamilton. A kill by Blount-Henderson ended the set at 25-17.

The Wolves trailed by a 1210 margin in the third set, but Wolf Point battled back on a spike by Hamilton, an ace by Kylie Rodenberg and a tip by Miller-Toves. A kill by Fourbear tied the score at 16-16.

Miller-Toves came through with a block and ace to put the Wolves up 20-17. With the score at 23-21, the Wolves ended the match on two net plays by Miller-Toves.

Rodenberg finished with 28 assists and three aces.

Hamilton scored 14 kills. Blount-Henderson had three blocks. Azalei Ackerman finished with 31 digs. The Wolves will travel to Glasgow on Thursday, Oct. 19, and then host Baker on Saturday, Oct. 21.
