Lions Score Exciting Victory Over Nashua
Lustre Christian came through with a thrilling three set victory over Nashua during the district volleyball tournament in Plentywood on Friday, Oct. 27.
The Lions earned a 25-10, 28-26, 26-24, win in the loser-out round. In the second set, Lustre took a 20-18 advantage on a kill by Grace Brown and a tip by Aubri Holzrichter. A spike by Sarah Dahl put the Lions ahead by a 24-22 margin.
With the score deadlocked at 25-25, Lustre’s Alexa Reddig accounted for a kill. Nashua tied the score at 26-26, but the Lions struck for the last two points. A block and kill by Reddig put Lustre ahead by a 20-19 margin in the third set. A kill by Jaden Gibson increased the gap to 21-19.
Nashua responded by taking a 24-23 lead, but the Lions accounted for the final three points including a tip by A. Holzrichter for the victory.
