Bearcubs Look For Solid Boys’ Basketball Season
Frazer’s boys’ basketball squad is shooting to move up in the District 3C standings this season.
“We did some good things this summer,” Frazer coach Myron Jackson said.
Returning players for the Bearcubs include Ty Fourstar, Christopher Fox, Cassius Smoker, Travis Long, Jarvis Goodbird, Chase Jackson, Joseph Beston, Zayden Hentges and Gabe Beston.
“I honestly think we will do a lot better than last year,” coach Jackson said. “We just have to stick with it.”
He noted that the Bearcubs need to concentrate on fundamentals throughout the season.
“I’m shooting for us to stay close and then have a chance to win,” Coach Jackson said.
Seniors on Frazer’s squad are Fourstar, Fox, Joseph Beston and Long.
“They can all get up and down the court,” the coach said of his players. “That’s what I want.”
The Bearcubs’ number of players is similar to a few other teams in the league.
“Hopefully, the boys like our style of basketball and see what happens,” coach Jackson said.
Top teams in the league are expected to include Lustre Christian and Scobey.
