Lady Wolves Stop Hays-Lodgepole
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad opened its season by defeating Hays-Lodgepole, 43-28, in Browning on Friday, Dec. 1.
The Wolves gained an 11-8 advantage in the first quarter and increased the gap to 19-14 at the half.
Wolf Point then accounted for eight points in the third quarter for a 27-14 margin. Amya Martinez scored four of those points.
The Wolves put the contest away with 15 points in the fourth period. Azalei Ackerman and Ali Corpon connected on three-pointers in the quarter.
Ackerman led the Wolves with 15 points. Keeley Blount-Henderson finished with nine points.
Also scoring for the Wolves were Kashlin Speak Thunder with seven, Martinez with four, Corpon with three, Juellz Bauer with two and Ameliya Doney with two.
