Area Girls Ranked In State Wrestling Poll

Poplar’s Angelina Escarcega is the top ranked wrestler at 107 pounds in Montana’s latest girls’ wrestling poll.

Following Escarcega at 107 pounds are Simms’ Hayley Pedersen, Glacier’s Brooke Yeadon, Corvallis’ Katelynn Vanderpool, Chinook’s Grace Buck and Lockwood’s Evelyn Arciga.

Poplar’s Blake Follette is ranked sixth at 114 pounds. Ranked ahead of Follette are Great Falls CMR’s Madalyn Deiter, Great Falls’ Kaylin Taylor, Lockwood’s Rossi Gookin, Ronan’s Saellah Nomee and Butte’s Aydin Gonzales.

Wolf Point’s Joli Beston is ranked fifth at 152 pounds behind Trinity Barrus of Custer/Hysham, Hailey Sutton of Florence/Carlton, Butte’s Mattie Stepan and Circle’s Jacee Richardson.

The top five ranked teams in the state are Billings Senior, Ronan, Baker, Butte and Kalispell Glacier.
