Indians Earn Titles At Tournament

Poplar’s Navarjo Escarcega earned the title at 138 pounds during the meet in Moorcroft, Wyo. Escarcega scored a 4-3 victory in the championship match. He won three other matches, including two on pins, during the tournament.

Gage Berg placed seventh at 175 pounds. He scored a 6-2 win in the seventh-place match. Berg pinned three opponents during the tournament.

In the JV portion of the tournament, Jaycee Feuerherm placed third at 114-124. Travis Pribernow took fourth place at 153-166 pounds.

Angelina Escarcega captured top honors at 105 pounds in the girls’ tournament. She pinned her opponent in 2:33 for the title. Escarcega won two matches on pins in the tournament.

Alara Parshall placed fifth at 110 pounds. Parshall scored a 4-3 victory in the fifth-place match. She also won one match on a pin and another match in sudden victory.

Blake Follette took sixth place at 115 pounds. She won two of her matches on pins.
