Archambault, Smith Perform In Poplar
Spotted Bull Recovery Resource Center has been present in many ways in northeast Montana this past week with outreach and laughs. On Sunday and Monday Jan. 2223, they provided an opportunity to hear from motivational speaker and musician Yvonne St. Germaine, one night in Poplar and another in Wolf Point.
Wednesday was the Deep Winter Comedy Night featuring Beef Archambault and Milo Smith in Poplar at the Greet the Dawn auditorium on the FPCC campus. Guests were greeted with a meal prepared and served by Fernando Trujillo (Mr. Whitecrow), which made a person feel like they walked into a night club with five star meals on the menu.
There were an abundance of door prizes to sign up for and the auditorium was soon packed.
Lance FourStar was introduced and shared information about his journey in politics. He introduced his campaign for the Montana State House of Representatives for House District 31 and shared his sobriety journey, thanking Spotted Bull for sticking by his side.
Tribal Executive Board member BJ Johnson took stage next to get the crowd going for Donovan “Beef” Archambault who has been traveling around the country with his comedy act. Milo Smith was up next and he is clearly no stranger to Poplar or Spotted Bull. Following his act, he said Spotted Bull was an early supporter of his career by giving him a chance to perform when he was a struggling comedian over 16 years ago.
