WalkingEagle Facing Federal Drug Charges

Jennifer Lee Marie WalkingEagle, 29, of Wolf Point, pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone and possession with intent to distribute oxycodone during a federal court session before U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris in Great Falls March 9.

WalkingEagle was detained pending further proceedings.

According to court documents, WalkingEagle allegedly possessed with intent to distribute oxycodone during a time period from January through at least May 2019 in Wolf Point.

If convicted of the most serious crime, WalkingEagle faces a maximum 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine and three years of supervised release. According to court documents, potential penalties could be enhanced due to prior drug-related felony charges.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and Montana Highway Patrol investigated the case.
