From The Pastor’s Desk
Song of Solomon 2:12: “The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
What a beautiful verse written by King Solomon; it is still true today. We find ourselves entering the season of warming weather and nature coming back to life. Flowers are blooming and soon ranchers will begin calving, we are reminded of the beauty that exists in this world and that there is new life all around us. As Christians, we are given new life and new mercies every morning. There is always hope during the coldest, darkest winters of life. Spring will come and new life will come forth.
I personally want to express my appreciation to all of you that helped so many folks get through this winter. Offering a hot sandwich and hot coffee or hot chocolate doesn’t seem like much, but what a difference it can make to someone who doesn’t have a kitchen cupboard filled with these things. I wish that each one that had a part of the ministry could have seen the joy in the eyes of men and women on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
Hubbard’s Cupboard, a new part of the “Green Bean” Ministry, took off and never looked back. Every time a need was made known, someone stopped up and helped. We serve between 15 to 20 families each Wednesday. God will surely bless both the giver and the gift.
Hubbard’s Cupboard will pack up any remaining clothing at the end of March and begin offering cold weather clothing again in the fall.
It is a joy to serve in Wolf Point, a community of love for our brothers and sisters. Have a joyful spring and summer. Join the Community Bible Church for a morning of praise to our Risen Savior on Easter.
