Tennis Squad Expects Strong Season
The Wolf Point tennis team starts practices looking to make some noise during post-season action this year.
The senior doubles team of Kaylee Johnson and Kaleah Miller-Toves placed fourth at last year’s state tournament after taking eighth place as sophomores. Their goal is to win top honors this time around.
Nevaeh Graham is the other senior on the squad. She won one doubles’ match at the divisional tournament last season.
Other returning players with varsity experience include Jeina Reum, Tanna Guldborg, Jaycen Williams and Riley Schwarzrock.
New to the team are Lauren Rodenberg, Hailey Gray Hawk, Kamila Melbourne- Hines, Kailayla Villaluz and Isabella Sanchez.
“Everyone is super coachable and invested in getting better,” Coach Dan Horsmon said. “Thanks to Coach Nicole Paulson for all her help. She is amazing.”
The Wolves are hoping to win the divisional championship. “And we want to take as many players to state as possible,” Horsmon said.
The Wolves open their season in Miles City on Friday, March 29.
