Trustees Approve Roof Project At School
The Culbertson School Board met in special session on Tuesday, March 26, to discuss bids for a roofing project.
The project is needed as a result of the hail storm in the area on July 11, 2023. The damage wasn’t known until after the freeze and thaw from the fall. Insurance totaled the elementary, junior high and band roofs. A temporary roof, a rolled-out product over the existing roof, was installed during December.
Bids were received from BluSky Restorations and Thiel Brothers Roofing.
Trustees determined that only the bid from Thiel Brothers Roofing satisfied all the requirements from the bid specs.
Trustee Chris Petersen made the motion to award the bid to Thiel Brothers Roofing of $980,945 with complete insulation and $622,519 with no insulation. Ian Walker seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Also during the meeting, Dani Larson was approved as a guest teacher. Trustees approved the bus stop to Hekkel Route #2 at the Ebenezer Church. No additional miles are needed to be added.
