Wolves Compete On Home Track At Scobey Invitational Meet
Wolf Point’s track athletes achieved success during the Scobey Invitational held in Wolf Point on Saturday, April 13.
The Wolves accounted for 59 points to tie Plentywood for fourth place in the team standings.
Peyton Summers enjoyed an outstanding meet for the Wolves. The senior earned top honors in the 1600 with a time of 4:47.79 and in the 3200 with a time of 9:56.35. Summers ran the 800 in 2:07.16 for second place.
Charles Page topped the field in the shot put with a best of 44-4. Michael Bell placed third at 38-8, Lennoxx Lilley took fifth at 37-10 and Sean Hamilton was eighth at 36-11.
Maddox Reum finished fourth in the 200 at 24.75 and fifth in the 100 at 12.24 seconds.
Tavian Bell placed seventh in the 400 with a time of 60.49. Seth Landsrud was eighth in the 200 at 26.2 seconds.
Hamilton had a best of 134--8 in the javelin for fifth place. Lilley took sixth in the discus at 107-5 and Hamilton placed seventh at 107-1.
Jayden Dominique and T. Bell each cleared 7-6 in the pole vault for fifth and sixth place.
The 400-meter relay team of M. Bell, Sam Boysun, Dominique and Reum finished sixth with a time of 47.85 seconds.
Wolf Point’s girls scored 30 points for seventh place in the team standings.
Adalynn Smith, an eighth-grader, finished third in the 400 at 68.57 and fifth in the 100 at 14.11 seconds.
Navella Weeks placed third in the 200 at 29.98 seconds.
The discus was a strong event for the Lady Wolves as Ali Corpron placed third at 83-4, Marley Moran was fourth at 80-1 and Amaya Martinez took fifth at 78-6. Taking ninth were Martinez in the shot put at 26-8 and Moran in the javelin at 77-8.
Williams cleared 6-0 in the pole vault for fifth place. H. Weeks cleared 4-0 in the high jump for eighth place.
The 400-meter relay team featuring Smith, Harper Weeks, N. Weeks and Teagan Williams placed fifth at 56.93 seconds.
