Fort Peck Tribes Pass Resolution Enacting Curfew For Its Members
According to a resolution passed Monday, March 23, by the Fort Peck Tribes Executive Board, all enrolled tribal members must be off the streets reservation-wide between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The resolution was passed in response to the COVID-19 virus and the attempt to help curb the spread of the virus. It enacts a reservation- wide curfew that prohibits enrolled “tribal members from leaving places of residence and travel across the reservation for any purpose other than emergency health care or employment travel” between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
As of presstime Tuesday, the Northern Plains Independent had not been notified that any municipalities or the county had enacted a similar resolution that would affect anyone not an enrolled tribal member.
