Flaten, Molstad Repeat At Cat Classic

The 25th Milk River Catfish Classic saw a return to the podium from Jason Molstad and Brady Flaten, who landed 30.92 pounds to win this year’s competition in Glasgow. The duo won the Classic in 2000 against a field of 12 teams.

Molstad and Flaten hooked more than two dozen fish to take the top spot this year amid 80 teams. They received a $2,000 cash prize. It is Flaten’s fifth win on the competitive circuit.

Chris Kolstad and Nicole Nelson won second place with a catch of 29.08 pounds. The latter team’s total winnings were $2,700 with a side pot win. Kolstad has finished in the top 20 at the competition seven times since 2014.

Third place went to locals Ricci Olson and Dylan Guttenberg and fourth place went to Todd and JJ Lindsay of Yellowstone County,
