Glenn Friesen

Glenn Jay Friesen, age 70, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Friday, June 14, 2024.

He was born June 12, 1954 in Wolf Point, Mont., to Henry and Rose Friesen.

Glenn completed high school in Frazer, Mont. During his tenure there, he broke a Montana State record for cross country. He attended Montana State University - Bozeman, Mont., for a while and, while he did not earn a degree, he maintained friendships with four friends that lasted his lifetime.

He enlisted in the Army for four years, spent some time in Germany and earned a National Defense Service Medal - Sharpshooter M-16.

He was an avid bowler, achieving four perfect 300 games and participating in several leagues, forming lifelong friendships. In his younger years, he also enjoyed playing golf. He also had a passion for the Celtics and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also active in church activities.

Glenn was an honest, God-fearing, hardworking and fun-loving individual. His smile would light up the room. Glenn had a successful career working in various fields including oil refinery, bartending, stockyards, Salvation Army for 14 years and Christies Appliance for 14 years, then park maintenance for five years.

Glenn is survived by his sisters, Betsy Adams (Cecil Chesser), Jackie (Jerry) Handran, Denise (Tommy) Green and Carol Grigg; and brother,
