Elementary Students Learn During Summer Instruction

Summer school offerings were well received during three weeks of instruction provided for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. The classes ended Thursday, June 20.

“They had fun,” teacher Laura Dennis said. “It went well.”

A total of 55 students attended the program.

Subjects included art, science, gymnastics, basketball and grade level academics.

Teacher Sheryl Dulohan said the science classes were enjoyable and educational.

Science topics included fossils, heating and colling crayons, the four seasons and a coloring wheel.

“They learned a lot from these activities,” Dulohan said.
