All-Class Reunion Needs Help From Others

The Wolf Point High School Class of 1971 is hopeful another class or organization will decide to organize the all-class reunion during Stampede week after this year.

Class member Sherry Boysun said the idea of having an all-class reunion came when her class was planning its 50th reunion in 2021. Since that time, the class has organized the celebration during Stampede at the Elks Event Center. This year’s event is scheduled from 1-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.

“We’re looking to phase out of it,” Boysun said. “I will stay on to help if needed, it’s not a lot of work. It doesn’t have to be a class. It could be community members.”

She explained that her class wishes to save its funds for memorials instead of spending about $600 on the all-class reunion each year.

Last year’s event attracted 238 individuals. Biggest representation came from the classes of 1968 and 1971. Each attendee receives a free drink and snacks.

“Everybody that goes really enjoys it,” Boysun said.

The plan is to give prizes to the oldest and youngest class members at the event.

A star quilt, featuring “Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf,” will be donated by Susan Brown as a fundraiser.

The class of 1971 will hold a birthday celebration because many of the members are turning 71 years old. They will have a parade float, T-shirts and banners.

If you wish to donate to the all-class reunion, mail donations to All-Class Reunion, P.O. Box 804, Wolf Point, MT 59201.
