Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

 

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 118 calls from July 15-22. The incidents included: July 15

Deputies arrived at the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Highway 205/County Road 1007. A vehicle rolled on its roof and then back on its wheels. The juvenile driver was transported by ambulance. The deputy investigated the crash.

Deputies responded to Poplar’s western side for a report of arson. The property owner was able to put the fire out. Damage included burnt walls. The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice also responded.

July 16

Deputies received a domestic abuse call of a male assaulting another male in Wolf Point. Alex Gardpipee, 24, was charged with partner/ family member assault and taken to the tribal jail.

Deputies received a report of a theft of motor vehicle parts in Culbertson. Items included a grill guard and tires. The reporting party said he saw two suspicious people in days prior. The investigation continues.

Deputies received a report of stolen wi-fi internet device from Wolf Point’s stampede grounds.

July 17

Deputies received a report of the theft of a motor vehicle in Poplar’s airport addition. A security camera showed that someone stole a wallet from a vehicle. Two juveniles were cited into court on charges of theft.

July 18

Deputies responded to a fight in Poplar. People reported a male was holding a metal pipe and a female was holding a shovel. Deputies couldn’t find the suspects.

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic abuse call. It was reported that the female was beaten up by her boyfriend. Law enforcement couldn’t locate the male. The female didn’t wish to file charges.

July 19 Deputies responded to a report of several people fighting in Wolf Point. An injured male was found lying on the road.

July 20

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with a minor vehicle accident at Cenex East in Wolf Point.

Deputies responded to Main Street in Wolf Point for a stalking call. A female didn’t want to leave a business. Wilhemina Redboy was arrested on authority of a tribal warrant.

July 22

Deputies responded when someone called on behalf of the victim at Stockman Bar. They said that someone robbed and threaten the individual with a weapon. There are two male suspects.

Deputies received a complaint of a restraining order violation in Bainville.

In addition, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city limits, 32; Wolf Point rural, three; Wolf Point FPHA, six; Poplar city limits, 18; Poplar rural, two; Poplar FPHA, four; Poplar airport addition, two; Culbertson town, nine; Culbertson rural, 17; Bainville town, two; Bainville rural, six; Froid town, one; Froid rural, four; Brockton town, two; Brockton rural, two; Fort Kipp, two; total, 118.
