Burkhart Returns As Lustre’s Principal
Bob Burkhart is glad to be back at Lustre Christian High School to serve as the school’s principal.
He left the area about three years ago after being Lustre’s principal for a couple of years.
Burkhart explained that he planned to retire, but he was urged to come back to the community.
“I’m very happy to be back,” he said. “We want to help Lustre become stronger and stronger.”
He grew up in the Midwest. His background also includes playing inside linebacker for Montana State University’s football team.
His goals include making Lustre strong academically, spiritually, Biblically and athletically.
Burkhart notes that Lustre High School has three new staff members this year. Those instructors are Michael Rickman for Bible, Nathan Lu for math and Arch Woodstock for music.
“They have done a good job working together,” Burkhart said of Lustre’s staff.
The enrollment was 38 on the first day of school and is anticipated to reach 40 or more.
“We have a very large freshmen class,” Burkhart said.
