Bainville’s Volleyball Team Returns Four Starters
The Bainville Bulldogs are looking forward to a successful season with four returning starters this fall.
Starters back for the Bulldogs include Elsie Wilson, Miah Pippenger, Lila Butikofer and Hailey Berwick.
Wilson, a senior, earned All-State and All-Conference recognition last season. Berwick, a junior, is a returning All-Conference performer. Other returning letterwinners for Bainville are Addison Hansen, Chandi Johnson, Siena Martinez, Johnna Ryder and Casey Myers.
Coach Kallie Clarke, who is assistant by LaRae Romo, feels the Bulldogs’ strengths are good leadership as the core of the returning players are back with a lot of varsity playing experience.
The Bulldogs need to fill out the roster at the middle blocker position and become more consistent with their passing. “We want to get better every day, play the season to enjoy each practice and game,” Clarke said. “Those are my goals for our team.”
She added that the girls haven’t pointed out their team goals yet. “In order to reach their goals this season, they will need to play for each other and work hard,” Clarke said.
Among the teams to beat in the conference will be Plentywood, Scobey and North Country. “This conference is very tough,” Clarke said. “I expect any number of teams to be in the top.”
