Bulldogs Open Season At Tourney

The Bainville Bulldogs opened their volleyball campaign at the Broadus Invitational in Glendive on Saturday, Aug. 31.

During pool play, the Bulldogs won two of their four matches.

Bainville fell to Forsyth by a 22-25, 14-25, final. Hailey Berwick finished with five kills in the match.

The Bulldogs then downed Glendive’s JVs by a 25-15, 2510, margin. Leading Bainville were Lila Butikofer with seven aces and 20 assists. Berwick scored 10 kills and Sienna Martinez had seven digs.

Bainville edged Broadus, 25-15. Leaders were Butikofer with 20 assists, Berwick with seven kills, Miah Pippenger with seven kills and Elsie Wilson with six kills. The Bulldogs then fell to Miles City’s JVs, 24-26.

In bracket play, Bainville lost to Broadus by a 19-25, 2125, final. Berwick accounted for seven kills in the match.
