Wolves Compete In Matches During Choteau Invitational
The Wolf Point Wolves faced stiff volleyball competition during the Choteau Invitational during the weekend.
“Wolf Point has a pretty young team. There was a lot of playing time this weekend with a lot of learning opportunities. They played well against well developed teams,” Coach Nicole Paulson said.
During action on Friday, Aug. 30, the Wolves played seven matches. Wolf Point lost to Simms, 16-21, 13-21; Ennis, 17-21, 18-21; Shelby, 6-21, 13-21; Broadwater, 13-21, 6-21; Conrad, 21-19, 11-21; Three Forks, 9-21, 8-21; and Simms, 10-21, 13-21.
Wolf Point battled five opponents on Saturday, Aug. 31. Highlights included winning sets against Cut Bank and Glasgow.
Results on Saturday included: Cut Bank, 21-17, 14-21; Manhattan, 14-21, 16-21; Choteau, 11-21, 9-21; Glasgow, 13-21, 2120; and Shelby, 2-21, 7-21.
During the tournament in Malta, Wolf Point’s JVs fell to Malta, 11-25, and Harlem, 2325. Wolf Point’s C squad defeated Rocky Boy, 25-23, and lost to Chinook, 12-25.
