Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 91 calls from Sept. 2-8. The calls included the following: Sept. 2

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle crash on a gravel road south of Culbertson. Deputies assisted the Montana Highway Patrol and the Culbertson Fire Department. There were no injuries.

Deputies received a report of a disturbance regarding an adult male in Brockton. He left the scene on his own.

Sept. 3

A Culbertson male came to the sheriff’s office reporting that he was a victim of fraud. The incident regarded the purchase of a vehicle from another country. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 4

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice in Poplar with a female reporting that she loaned her debit card to another female. Deputies contacted the other female, and she returned the card.

Deputies responded to Poplar for a request to remove some unwanted occupants.

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ regarding a report of a fight in Poplar. The family member argument included a broken window. Alisha Martin, 35, was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Deputies performed traffic control for a structure fire in the Poplar city limits.

Sept. 5

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with a search warrant in Wolf Point. Deputies transported the female, who had a warrant, to the tribal jail.

Deputies responded to the Fort Kipp area for a domestic abuse situation. When the deputies arrived, no one was home.

Deputies received a report of an adult female being argumentative. When the deputies arrived, the female had left the area.

Sept. 6

A complaint was received about a semi on Highway 16 near Froid being driven recklessly. Deputies couldn’t locate the vehicle but informed Sheridan County dispatch.

Sept. 8

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ in Wolf Point regarding two intoxicated females. Law enforcement separated the females.

Deputies received a report of a vehicle hitting a cow near Bainville. The vehicle was totaled. The Montana Highway Patrol is the lead in the investigation. Also responding were Bainville’s ambulance and fire department.
