Cowgirls Fight Off MonDak

The Culbertson Cowgirls edged MonDak, 21-25, 25-21, 25-11, 18-25, 15-13, on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Mariana Burciaga led the Cowgirls with 11 kills and eight aces.

Ivy Colvin and Burciaga finished with 12 digs each.

Ayden Ator had 28 assists. Having two blocks each were Serenity Wilbanks, Emma Berwick and Jazzmin Fugere.

Culbertson lost in conference volleyball action against a strong Scobey team on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Scobey posted a 25-12, 25-17, 25-15, victory.

Ator finished with 17 assists and Colvin served eight aces.

Leading the attack were Jazzmin Fugere with seven and Berwick with six kills. Wilbanks and Ator each had a block.

Leaders in digs were Colvin with 10 and Burciaga with nine.
