Cowgirls Down Lustre Christian

Culbertson defeated Lustre Christian in three straight sets during league volleyball action on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The Cowgirls won 25-16, 25-9, 25-19.

“Everyone went in, which was great for our homecoming game,” Coach Tiffany Nielsen said.

Jazzmin Fugere finished with five aces, six kills, a block and five digs.

Leandra Perkins accounted for an ace, three kills and 13 digs. Ivy Colvin had three aces and eight digs.

Mariana Burciaga had one ace, three kills and 18 digs. Serenity Wilbanks had an ace and a kill.

Emma Berwick scored four kills and had two digs.

Ayden Ator finished with four aces, a kill, 13 assists and two digs.

The Cowgirls then lost on the road against Richey/Lambert by a 10-25 17-25, 24-26, final on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Ator finished with nine assists against the Fusion. Fugere served two aces and had 13 digs.

Berwick accounted for five kills and a block.

Culbertson will return to action at Nashua on Thursday, Sept. 26.
