The Wolf Point Wolves and Poplar Indians each competed at the state girls’ flag football tournament held in Bozeman on Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Sept. 27.

The Indians opened play with a 22-14 victory over Butte on Thursday.

Poplar then lost to a strong Lockwood squad, 27-14, in the quarter-final round on Friday. The Indians gained an 8-6 lead in the game but trailed 15-8 at the half.

Wolf Point fell to Jefferson, 25-12, on Thursday. The Wolves then lost against St. Ignatius by a 40-13 final on Friday.

Frazer lost to East Helena, 46-6, in the first round. The Bearcubs then defeated Absarokee and Roundup on Friday.
