Froid Welcomes New Librarian, Plans Pie Social
Froid has a new librarian in Cheyenne Heller, as of
Sept. 10. Heller is originally from Tetonia, Idaho, but moved to the region with her husband, Riley, who was raised in the area, and daughter, Isabella, beginning in 2019.
Heller said she wants to do her part to keep the library open and hopes to encourage more people, especially young people, to search the stacks.
“You don’t want to lose libraries,” Heller said. “They are a wonderful escape for some people.”
Heller said she will be at the library Tuesday-Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., but added that hours may be subject to change. Heller said she’s been decorating and has a lot to keep her busy on the job. “I really went all out decorating,” she said, “you’ll have to come see it.”
Heller added she is grateful and excited to tackle her new role. “I’m really excited to be part of a loving community,” she said.
The Friends of the Library Foundation is organizing a pie social fundraiser in Froid at the library Oct. 17 from 3-6 p.m. Single serving pie and coffee will be $5 and whole pies will be $25. Call 406-7662492 for more information.
