Between the Bookends

Upcoming events at the James E. Shanley Tribal Library in Poplar for October include an open mic Thursday, Oct. 17, beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting of the Teen Democracy Project Oct. 18 at 10 a.m.

Drop-in writing and research assistance will be offered Oct. 21 from 1-2 p.m. Children’s Storytime will be held Oct. 22 at 10:30 a.m. and community crafting is scheduled for Oct. 23 at 5 p.m.

The Morning Book Club is scheduled for Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. and the Library Book Club is set for Oct. 30 at 4:30 p.m. The Frybread Connections Talking Table will be hosted Oct. 28 starting at 5:30 p.m.

A “Spooky Storytelling” event is planned for Oct. 30 at the Greet the Dawn Auditorium, beginning at 6 p.m.

Library hours are Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday- Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is closed Saturday and Sunday. For more information, check out the library’s Facebook page or call 406-768-6340.
