Runners Place At Culbertson Meet
The Culbertson Invitational attracted many area cross country runners on Friday, Oct. 18.
Scobey’s Mya Green was the top individual in the girls’ division with a time of 21:25.9. Fairview’s Averi Riedel placed second at 21:36.6.
Fairview’s girls won the team competition with 13 points while Scobey scored 19 points for second place and Brockton was third with 21 points.
Jade Lonebear of Culbertson/ Bainville finished in 12th place with a time of 23:49.6.
Rebekah Ellerkamp was 14th at 24:03.6.
Braelynn Demarrias led Brockton with a time of 22:36.2 for fourth place. Tamryn Bauer finished eighth at 23:06.9.
Taylor Cummins placed 15th at 24:15.6. Skylar Cummins was 19th at 25:30.4.
Jade Olney took 31st place at 29:01.9. Marlene Fish was 32nd at 29:04.4. Mackenzie Jones placed 33rd at 29:10.4.
Frazer’s eighth-grader Brianna Beston finished in 21st place with at time of 25:35.3.
Noli Sibley of Frazer took 25th at 26:44.7. Elli Mail was 36th at 29:50.8.
In the boys’ division, Frazer’s sophomore Gabe Beston was the overall winner with a time of 17:45.7. Benjamin Crosby of Williston Trinity Christian placed second at 17:45.8 and Plentywood’s Dean Sampsen took third at 17:49.0.
Top teams were Williston Trinity Christian with 23 points, Scobey with 24 and Plentywood with 30 points.
Arlie Purvis of Culbertson/ Bainville placed 20th with a time of 20:41.7.
Colin Purvis finished in 31st place at 23:10.0.
Soren Batt took 35th place at 24:42.4. Gunner Glas finished 38th at 42:49.4.
Brockton placed eighth in the team standings with 60 points.
Brockton’s Miles Boxer Jr. finished in fifth place at 18:31.2.
Joshua Firemoon of Brockton placed 28th at 22:37.5. Daniel Segubiense was 33rd at 24:53.8.
Frazer’s Bryce Fourstar finished 24th with a time of 22:13.6.
Cassius Smoker of Frazer took 36th at 25:21.1. Ronald Roundface was right behind in 37th place at 28:07.9.
