Wolf Point’s volleyball team finished its home schedule with a loss against rival Glasgow on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Glasgow won the conference match by a 25-15, 25-14, 25-13, final.

The Wolves fell behind 10-4 in the first set but came back on kills by Lauren Rodenberg and senior Keeley Blount-Henderson.

An ace by Rodenberg and a spike by Karmyn Plain Feather kept Wolf Point close at 1411. Glasgow responded with the next four points including three kills by 5-6 junior Joely Chappell.

After kills by Hayden Green gave the Scotties a 21-12 advantage, the Wolves scored on a kill by Ma’Kenzie Jackson. Wolf Point cut the gap to 23-15 on a kill and ace by Kashlyn Speak Thunder, but Glasgow ended the set on kills by Hayden Green and Amber Pearson.

A kill by Blount-Henderson and a block by Speak Thunder kept the Wolves close at 15-11 in the second set.

After an ace by Marley Moran pulled the Wolves to 17-13, Glasgow struck for seven straight points for a 24-13 lead. Blount-Henderson stopped the streak with a kill, but the Scotties took the set on a kill by Green.

The Wolves fell behind early in the third set, but a tip by Mattie Azure cut the margin to 13-10. The serving of Macy Martin and net play of Chappell led Glasgow to a 19-10 advantage.

With the score at 24-13, an ace by Ella Eggebrecht ended the match.

Wolf Point opened the week by losing at Baker by a 10-25, 4-25, 7-25, final.

The Wolves will start district tournament action in Malta on Thursday, Oct. 31.
