Beston, DeMarrias Earn All-State Honors In Class C

 

Runners from Brockton and Frazer were among the competitors at the Class C state cross country meet held in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Brockton’s boys took 12th in the team standings with 167 points. Frazer placed 20th with 225 points.

The top three boys’ teams were Cascade with 12 points, Hobson/Moore with 27 points and Manhattan Christian with 37 points.

Drummond’s Dawson Parker won the individual state championship with a time of 16:36.4. Manhattan Christian’s Cavan Visser placed second at 17:00.0. Cascade’s Peyton Johnson was third at 17:14.4.

Frazer’s sophomore Gabe Beston earned All-State honors by taking 15th place with a time of 18:22.2.

Brockton’s Miles Boxer Jr. placed 18th at 18:38.8.

Joshua Firemoon of Brockton was 31st at 19:33.9. Daniel Segubiense was 118th at 23:42.9.

Frazer’s Bryce Fourstar took 94th at 22:06.4. Cassius Smoker was 116th at 23.39.3.

The top teams in the girls’ division were Roberts with 23 points, West Yellowstone with 43, Manhattan Christian with 54, Drummond with 54 and Scobey with 57 points.

Whitewater’s Shelbi LaBrie repeated as the individual champion with a time of 19:40.3. Roberts’ TJ Chirrick was second at 19:52.5 and West Yellowstone’s Tiara Norris took third at 20:33.9. Brynne Hill of Richey/Lambert placed sixth and Scobey’s Mya Green was seventh.

Brockton’s freshman Brae-Lynn DeMarrias earned All-State honors with a time of 22:23.3 for 11th place.

Brockton took eighth in the team standings with 81 points.

Tamryn Bauer was 33rd with a time of 24:27.2. Taylor Cummins placed 37th at 24:57.2.

Skylar Cummins was 44th at 25:30.2. Jade Olney took 62nd at 27:20.9.

Mackenzie Jones finished 80th at 30:02.0. Marlene Fish was 81st at 30:13.6.

Frazer took 12th in the team standings with 209 points.

Brianna Beston finished in 54th place at 26:36.5.

Noli Sibley was 77th at 28:59.1. Elli Mail took 78th at 29:49.7.
