Students Prepare To Present Madrigal Dinner
One of the area’s highlights of the holiday season will be celebrated when Wolf Point High School presents the Madrigal Dinner at First Lutheran Church on Nov. 22 and Nov. 23.
“It’s a dinner show put on by the swing choir that takes place during the Renaissance era,” Wolf Point’s musical director Jacob Bradshaw said. “It’s to usher in the holiday season.”
The event starts at 7 p.m. each night. Cost is $30 per seat. For ticket information, call Arden Dewitt, 406-653-1200, ext. 452.
“The kids are very excited about it,” Bradshaw said. “It’s been a tradition here for 38 years.”
He explains the night will include a short play, a lot of music and a multi-course meal prepared by Elizabeth Solberg and Ann Landsrud.
The event will feature traditional songs including Christmas carols. “Then the concert music happens around dessert that is different every year,” Bradshaw said of the entertainment.
Students will wear traditional attire. Cole Boysun will return to perform as the court jester.
“The idea is to kind of escape from modern reality and problems and enjoy having a dinner party set during the Renaissance period,” Bradshaw said.
