Miller Receives Fair Award
Angela Miller, Roosevelt County Fair manager, was honored recently as the Fair Manager of the Year at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs’ 88th annual convention held in Rapid City, S.D.
Each year, the association recognizes outstanding individuals from member fairs through various awards, including Fair Manager of the Year, Fair Person of the Year, Service Member of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Hall of Fame Award and the Heritage Award.
“I was genuinely surprised to receive this recognition,” Miller remarked. “Reflecting on the history of this award, which began in 1977, I see many prominent names in the fair industry on the list. I never anticipated receiving such an honor, particularly given the small scale of our fair. I am truly grateful for the support from my board members, who encourage me to pursue innovative ideas. Being part of this organization has significantly contributed to the growth and improvement of our fair each year, and I am eager to introduce new events for the 2025 fair.”
The Rocky Mountain regional association comprises member fairs from Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
