Rees, Green Take Firsts In Miles City
The Culbertson speech and drama team braved a very early departure time (4:15 a.m.) to attend the Custer County District High School invitational on Saturday, Nov. 9, in Miles City.
“Everyone had a great day of competition,” said head coach Jeri Gustafson. “We also welcomed the addition of two eighth-grade competitors to their first competition.”
Results from the day were as follows: Colt’n Rees took first in memorized public address. Harrison Green took first in impromptu speaking.
Sadie Finnicum placed third in dramatic oral interpretation. Gavin Raaum took third in pantomime.
Kaylee Kohl placed fifth in dramatic oral interpretation and Jaxon Flinn took seventh in informative speaking.
The drama team placed second in the Class C Sweepstakes and the speech team took first place in Class C Speech Sweeps.
The next tournament will be held in Fairview on Saturday, Nov. 16.
