The Story Of An Angel Called Sophia

The story of Sophia happened at an incredibly special time. You see Sophia was an angel, and not just any angel but a choir angel. She loved to sing and sang praises to God as part of a host of angels. The Bible makes it very clear that angels have special roles and duties in Heaven; some are messengers, some protectors and others are in the Throne Room to sing and give praise to God.

Sophia loved singing, setting within the Throne Room, and singing praises to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. She never tired of Singing.

Sophia loved talking with God, she calls Him, Father God. One day as she entered the Throne Room, she noticed that Jesus was not there. “Father God, Father God”, she asked “where is Jesus?”

God answered, “ I love everyone in the world so very much. I have given my Son, the Son I love so very much, so that anyone in the world below that believes on Him will have life that does not end in Heaven with us.

“Father God, is this the time when we will sing the good news? The good news of Jesus going down to earth?” Father God answered, “yes, yes, it is Sophia”.

Sophia could not contain her excitement. “Then we must hurry and arrive in the palace of the king of the earth to sing the announcement of Jesus’ coming to save the world!”

God smiled as He looked at Sophia, “Oh, Jesus will not be born in a king’s palace. He will be born as a baby in a manger in the city of Bethlehem and that time has not come”.

“When, when will it be?” Sophia was ready to join the heavenly choir to tell the world Jesus had arrived.

“I will tell you when it is time” answered Father God.

Well, each day as Sophia came into the Throne Room before Father God she would sing or so beautifully. She would remind angels around her that there were preparing to announce the coming of Jesus to earth. Each day she would look into the face of Father God and say, “Is it time”? Lovingly, the answer would be no, no Sophia not yet.

It happened while Sophia was on the way to the Throne Room. The great and powerful voice of Father God was heard in all of Heaven. “It is time.” The words rang out so clear and with all the power of the God that spoke creation into existence.

All of her being leaped with joy. In a moment Sophia was above the hills near Bethlehem. She saw more sheep than she wanted to count and many shepherds watching them. The messenger angel made it very clear that Jesus had been born and told the shepherds where to find Him.

Then the moment Sophia had been waiting for; with her wonderful voice she began to sing.

Glory to God in the Highest And on earth peace among those With whom He is pleased Back in the presence of Father God Sophia bowed low, “Father God the message was given”, “Yes, Sophia, now all men can know that my Son is the Savior of the world”.

“Will they all believe?”, asked Sophia.

“No, Sophia not everyone, but whoever calls on my Son’s name will have a place prepared for them in Heaven with us and be part of the Heavenly Family.”

Sophia again bowed before Father God, “to you Father belongs power and glory forever and ever”. AMEN
