As well as receiving a quality education at Bainville High School, Reed Winn also learns a lot throughout the day at a different location.
After spending four periods each school day in classes, Winn works at his father’s business, Dave Winn Trucking.
Reed’s duties include grease jobs and repairing brakes.
“He teaches me one time and I can do it from there,” Reed said.
Reed says he also likes working on cars especially his own Nissan 350 I.
“I do it because I really enjoy during the work,” Winn said.
After high school, he plans to become either a diesel mechanic or a semi truck driver.
He has lived in Bainville for 14 years and wants to stay in the community.
“I like how small it is,” the senior said. “So you don’t have to talk to a lot of different people.”
His favorite class is weight-lifting because he says he can work independently on what he wants to lift.
He doesn’t list a favorite teacher. “I like everybody the same.”
The National Honor Society student’s activities include basketball.
“I like it because it’s fun and there’s team bonding,” Winn said.
One of his sports highlights was beating Savage in football during his junior season.
“It was unexpected,” Winn said.
