Indians Lose Contest Against Harlem Boys
Poplar’s boys’ basketball team came up short in its first conference game of the season in Harlem on Friday, Dec. 20.
The Indians lost by a 60-44 final.
After trailing by an 18-7 margin at the end of the first quarter, Poplar battled back to 28-25 at the half.
The Wildcats then struck for 19 points in the third quarter to grab a 47-39 advantage. Harlem outscored the Indians by a 10-5 margin in the fourth quarter.
Wilder Bearcub led Poplar with 11 points. Chasen Pribbernow finished with nine points.
Adding seven points each were Kaniel Ricker, Walker Burshia and Ryder Olson.
Jaizon Gramling had two points.
L. Morgan scored 20 points for Harlem.
