Free Valentine’s Events Planned In Poplar, Culbertson

Valentine’s Day themed events are being planned in Poplar and Culbertson on Feb. 9 and Jan. 25 respectively.

First up, a “Sweet As Candy” Valentine’s Day craft bazaar will be hosted at the old armory building on Broadway Avenue in Culbertson Jan. 25. The bazaar will feature local vendors selling hand crafted, holiday themed gifts. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A women’s only “Galantine’s” event is planned in Poplar at the new roller rink on Main St. Feb. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Organizers Luane Brown and Olivia Johnson are hosting the free event for women, with food and games on offer. Attendees are encouraged to bring a cheap white elephant gift if they’d like to participate in an exchange.
