Sheriff Office Honors Employees

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office has selected Joe Moore as the recipient of the 2024 Deputy of the Year award.

The award reads, “In recognition of your dedication and loyal services to the citizens of Roosevelt County.’

Moore resides in Bainville. He is an EMT and also a member of the fire department.

Along with being a deputy, he teaches First Aid classes in the area.

Moore travels to local schools to deliver active shooting trainings.

Sheriff Jason Frederick also awarded two other individuals for their dedication.

Robert Armstrong was the recipient of the Corrections Officer of the Year award.

Carlos Garcia was selected as the winner of the Dispatcher of the Year honor.

Frederick started presenting the annual awards in January of 2023 as a way to salute area officers.

Recipients will have their names placed on a permanent plaque in the office’s lobby.
