100 Club Plans Annual Meeting After Successful Financial Year
The Wolf Point 100 Club, which supports area health care efforts, will have its annual meeting on Saturday, Jan. 25. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Club president Cindy Hanks said the meeting will be shorter this year because of the amount of illnesses going around the area.
Other club officers include James Johnson as vice president and Cathryn Wylie as secretary/treasurer.
Hanks notes this is Wylie’s 21st year as a director.
Despite a few less people donating this year, 95 in 2024, the 100 Club enjoyed one of its best years as far as donations.
“We had an excellent year as far as raising finances,” Hanks said.
The club was thankful that it received $12,000 in donations from estates during the year.
“That made it one of our best years,” Hanks said.
The club also benefited from a Lucky Cowboy chute at the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede.
The funds assist in purchasing added medical equipment for Faith Home, Trinity Hospital, Listerud Rural Health Clinic, NEMHS Emergency Medical Services and the Wolf Point Pharmacy. Each year, representatives from Faith Home, Trinity Hospital, Listerud Rural Health Clinic, Wolf Point Pharmacy and the NEMHS EMS compile a “wish list” of items that are needed.
Hanks said the club is grateful that it could authorize purchases of $23,615.33 during 2024.
