Bainville Knocks Off Fusion Squads

The Bainville Bulldogs swept basketball contests against Richey/Lambert in District 2C action on Friday, Jan. 31.

Bainville’s boys posted a 51--33 victory over the Fusion.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 26-16 at the half.

After holding a 38-26 lead at the end of the third period, the Bulldogs tallied 13 more points in the fourth period.

Leading Bainville’s attack were Parker Berwick with 22 and Reed Winnn with 15 points.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Rowan Wilson with eight, Kaiden Holmes with four and Carter Pacovsky with two points.

Beau Mullin scored 11 points for the Fusion.

Bainville’s girls enjoyed a strong first half and downed the Fusion by a 60-36 final.

Bainville gained a 16-8 lead in the opening quarter and tallied 19 points in the second period for a 35-16 margin.

The Bulldogs struck for 17 points in the third period for a 52-24 advantage.

Tally Berwick and Hailey Berwick each scored 15 points for the Bulldogs. Elsie Wilson added nine points.

Also scoring were Chandi Johnson with seven, Lila Butikofer with six, Miah Pippenger with four and Jaylynn Bjorge with two.

Keira Rains accounted for 15 of the Fusion’s points. Brynne Hill scored 11 points.
